ONE GREAT DAY OF SHARING

ask me what a joy and blessing these sweet special girls are.

 

Our girls had a terrific time this weekend. They started the evening off with a trip to the cornfield maize at Shallowater.

                  

we had the pledge mother and one pledge girl attend. This was a girls thing only, not a prospect party.  After going through the maize everyone went to Mrs. Ray's home for refreshments.

 

 

After refreshments some spent the night at Mrs. Rays. They baked and baked and baked some more to take to Ronald McDonald House on Sunday. Quiz question for the weekend -- no Rainbow books allowed at this event but we always try to find Rainbow in everything. What Verse did your Mother Advisor suggest you open your bible to each night. Jessica was first to answer correctly.

 

Sunday Morning the girls awoke to the sweet smell of bacon. They requested a log in the fire for the morning chill. Mrs. Ray is an old granny and did not figure out what the girls were up to at first. They had the greatest time roasting Marshmallows (miniature ones on clothes hangers). This was supervised by the way.

 

  I have to say they just grabbed my heart when they found my bibles and an old hymnal and set up their own little worship service.

                    

 

After which we all sat down to a big breakfast.

 

We then practiced a little on our cheer for Grand Assembly.

 

Had drawings for some elegant evening purses and 2 fur coats to give to the assembly.

 

finished decorating our baked goods for Ronald McDonald house, which we delivered in the afternoon.

                                                                    

 

 

Topping the day off they found Mrs. Ray's sack of makeup and old Navy uniform. Gee these 11 & 12 year olds could not zip up Mrs. Ray's skirt and buttoning Buttons was a struggle.
